Savannah College of Art and Design............................... www.scad.edu/tradeshow October 5th 2007, 5:00pm to 8:00 pm October 7th, 9:00am to 12:00pm Encaustic Techniques: Scraping, Incising, and Collage This workshop will introduce participants to various methods for creating an encaustic painting with an emphasis on surface. A few of the techniques to be demonstrated are: Building up and Scraping back to reveal a history of layers; Incising and Intarsia for clean line application; and Collage with Imbedded Objects. No painting experience is necessary, just an enthusiasm for learning about the ancient art of encaustic.
